I'd like to know, seems most design schools are way expensive, and those cheap ones are not good enough(at least in fame).

Which state do you live in?

Look at North Carolina State , San Jose State, Univ of Michigan, and of course Cooper Union in New York (cheaper than cheap) .

Umass Dartmouth is very reasonable. Mass College of Art, Towson University, UMBC, East Carolina State, North Carolina State ,etc.

Berkeley, Cal Poly SLO? These might work.

What kind of design program are you looking for??

digital art, graphic design, something like that
i have a good math skill though, same as science
I just don't know to take the major I favor or the major i am good at
by the way i live in CA

I am pretty sure that Virginia Commonwealth University has a top design program...quite possibly the best one affiliated to a non-private entity.

http://www.pubinfo.vcu.edu/artweb/

The following are also quite good:

Arizona State University
Indiana University-Bloomington
North Carolina State University
University of California-Los Angeles
University of Cincinnati
University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign
University of Iowa
University of Washington
University of Wisconsin-Madison

What's your unweighted GPA? This will provide some guidance for schools.

I got GPA of 3.9
and most class at highest rank possible.
and I took studio art and got A in the class + 3 on the AP examine

SUNY Purchase is a school around a half hour north of NYC that's really strong in art and design.

UCLA has Design|Media Arts.

to get into UCLA is incredible hard, they have a average GPA of 4.12(not highest, but average), I think I can only get a GPA of 4.1 or lower

Average SAT: 1289 by the way, that means 800 on math and 689 on english, I can only score 630 on english at most~~~~~~

but to get into the major is a somewhat different story. for UCLA Design|Media Arts, i think you need to submit a portfolio of your work, and that will be a big factor in admissions decision. your SAT/GPA need to be good but not exceptionally strong; it is used more to make sure you can handle the academics there. and remember, 50% of admits are UNDER the average!

Ugh.....try again? :D

1289 - 689 = 600 not 800...

I just took a test in my pre cal class, and I got one wrong because I got -8 from -4*-4
