Did anyone receive a letter/decision today?

no. but the note that says that decisions are not yet available, is that the same note thats been there all long, it seemed longer than i remembered it being, making me feel like it was updated, and that somewhere someone did in fact get a decision

^^^scratch that^^^

nope, says the same thing for me. that's why i asked. but im a little suspicious that they might have been running late this year and might actually get decisions up by tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

thats what i'm thinking. i was just talking to my mom who used to run a pretty big website that sent out bulk emails and stuff, and she said that sometimes there are glitches and they just don't go out

I think they might have them up tomorrow, too, if only because it seems really weird that not one person on here found out anything at all today. There are plenty of posters here who are more than qualified for admission, regardless of how random and unpredictable the transfer process is.

haha this might be a glitch in penn's sytem. i surely wouldn't want to have to wait till next friday, but whatever. looking forward to finally knowing my decision even though it feels like it might be a rejection based on how crazy the acceptance rates are across the ivy board.

I highly doubt they will update it tomorrow. Their office is closed.

well they don't personally put decisions up - a computer system does. considering that the office is closed at 5:00 on friday as well, there isn't a bad chance that they might post decisions tomorrow.

but how do they send out emails...

more than likely by automated computer system. like when i got my columbia emails, they were timed exactly for 5:00PM.

lol and the one thread that was supposed to be one of certainty turns into one of speculation

such is the way with CC threads

well it's only natural for such a thing to happen - afterall we are all pretty anxious since no one on cc apparently got a decision

yeah it's pretty unbelievable. i highly doubt that anyone got a decision today.

i dont like how there aren't any details about this whole process.....on other school's websites, they have update pages etc. etc. And it's especially strange that so many people called and got responses about decisions being released on 16th, 23rd, etc. etc. but apparently nothing for anyone on here.

It just feels so random....like no one knows the details and so many people still haven't received notification of their login information on paper through postal mail..

why has everyone seemingly had to retrieve their info by using the "Forgot your username/password" button. That in itself is a little funky....

what were everyones high school gpa, college gpa, and test scores?

lol longhorn doesn't mess around. I will say though, that's a question that belongs in the Official Transfer Penn 2008 thread.

i called today and the lady said "end of may." Sucks.

I know of someone who successfully transferred in last year from community college. He rocked a 4.0, tons of extracurriculars (notably, he served on the board of trustees of the college through the student government), volunteer firefighter, internships (one with a congresswoman), etc. The courses he took though were relatively easy (albeit they were cumulatively in the 20+ credit hour range each semester.) His legacy status probably put him over the top.
