do people like this even exist: those who can score perfectly in so many subject areas?

Yes:

Calc BC, English Lang, and US History, as well as French Lang, and both Physics C exams.

I'm sure that many other people are the same way.

Yes, you will find many on this site.

Many people...

^ ditto (not me though...not yet anyways)

Not me personally, but MANY on this site

It's really all about your approach to the exams.

The valedictorian at my school last year got 5 5's
Cal AB, English Comp, US History, Environmental Science, Spanish Lang (non native)

then she got 6 more senior year
Micro Eco, Govt, English Lit, Cal BC, Stat, and Spanish Lit

I think you're forgetting that a 5 isn't neccessarily a perfect score. In Calc BC, you need about 65% to get a 5.

Yes. It's not really that hard, with the curves. I've gotten 9 5's so far.

Maybe it's just that some people tell themselves things like, "I'm a math person; I can't do English/History" that prevents them from getting 5's in all subject areas.

65% for a 5? What about for the other scores? That's a pretty lenient curve...

65% for a 5 is generally for the math and science tests... the humanities are a tad less lenient. not by much, though.

Btw, I was asking for the Calculus BC test.

I got 5's in all three of those subject areas.. and more!

Yeah, my sis got 5s on AB, BC, English Lit, English Lang, US History and Art History...too much to live up to

You just described me and i dont even know you

65% is for Calc BC (about 70/108 composite). Other science classes are in that range, while the history classes are 70-75% and the English classes are 80%.

I think there was a thread a while ago detailing this.

My son got 5s in BC Calculus and European History as a sophomore and a 5 in U.S. History last year. The only blemish on his record is a 4 in English Language, and yes, he was quite ticked with himself -- overall, he has 6 5s and that 4. He hopes the result with English Lit will be better.

5 on world hist??

or humann geo?

or spanish?

Dude me too. I just told my AP Eng Lit teacher that I probably won't take the AP exam because I'm mostly a math person and I really don't believe that a 4 or a 5 is an obtainable goal for me.
