Is there difference between A- and A or A+ for transfer GPA?
I think that at the UCs an A- is 3.7 and A or A+ is 4.0, but are transfer GPA calculated differently?
I think that they just use the GPA from Miracosta which is A=4, B=3, etc. but anyone know for sure?
It depends on your CC. If Miracosta does not use +/- letter grades, don’t list +/- grades on the app.
OP you said it right. A+ and A are 4.0. A- is 3.7, etc. Of course it’s basically determined by what your college gave as points, but that’s the usual breakdown of plus and minus. So the UC will look at the grade code in the transcript to determine. But they will factor them in.
I go to Mira Costa as well, and the entire school doesn’t use the +/- so, bullet dodged.
