I'm a junior and I know that it's mostly my fault for how I let my gpa end up to be aside from other personal issues going on at home. Currently, my unweighted gpa as of now is a 2.75 something and my weighted gpa is 3.4 I'm taking classes on FLVS to make up for the bad grades I made in ap us history & world history. I refuse to go to a community college at all costs.
Is there still a good chance of me being able to get into college? Also, are there any other things I can do to increase that chance as well? Thanks :)

Lol good luck with your college goals in 2012.

Thanks? I don’t know whether to take that offensively or not…
but I’m graduating in 2013 since I did say I’m a junior

Of course it’s hard to tell by only your GPA, but I’m sure you can still get into A college. I know you can. Not necessarily Harvard or Columbia and probably not a top tier LAC, but don’t worry…there are THOUSANDS of colleges and universities out there. Look up schools that accept students who have GPAs in your range on College Board…they may not be the schools a lot of students on here talk about, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad.

Definitely focus on raising and maintaining higher grades, doing well on whatever standardized tests you decide to take, and hopefully you’re already participating in an EC or so and will continue to do that. Yes, you should be concerned about your GPA, but not so much that you lose hope!

Of course you can go to college. Kids with 2.0s can go to college.

There are many colleges that a 2.75 would be acceptable. The two best things you can do is work hard to get stronger grades from now on and do solid prep work for the ACT/SAT.

College is definitely possible for you.

Yeah, I’m junior class president, I’m in multicultural committee, student government & rotc - well WAS anyway until my sister decided to take me out for no good reason.
When I took the PSAT & Pre-ACT, I got a 1200 and a 21 the first time around. I take AP & honor classes.
After first semester, I realized that I don’t have time to be messing around anymore so with 2nd semester, I’m going to try and get straight A’s or at least A’s & b’s.
Does that sound good? Sorry, I might come off as annoying .___.

Start researching colleges that typically accept students with your GPA/SAT scores. There are definitely some schools out there for you

That sounds like a great plan! If you can pull up your grades and improve your scores a bit, you’ll be in great shape. Good luck!

Thanks for the positive feedback =DD
