My daughter has gotten wind of something, but I've seen nothing....

YES it’s called Project Wildcat (‘PWild,’), it’s magical, awesome, you get to hang out with awesome people for a week, and it’s absolutely glorious.

Doooooo it!

There are others, but PWild is objectively the best, most awesome, and pretty generally sick and awesome and amazing time. Not that I’m biased or anything.

But more seriously, the others are good too. Just not as good.

Thanks for the info!

So, we’ve looked at the materials about this online, and there’s a $100 non-refundable application fee (applied to the trip for successful applicants). That seems very high, especially when I have no idea what pct. of the applicants are accepted. I mean, I could see $10, but $100? to apply to go on a $350 trip?!?

Anybody know what that’s all about?

I don’t think they actually reject anyone. In any case, if you’re in need, then they can help you out.

If it’s really an issue, harass them until they refund it! They aren’t nearly as serious-business as some of the other university functions.

It’s not that we’re “in need”–it’s just that if only, say, 10% of the applicants get into the program, an awful lot of $100 fees would be collected for…well…you know.

So, it’s good to hear that they don’t reject anybody. Thanks.

My understanding is that they notify you on June 15th whether you are accepted, then on that date, the website starts accepting the $100 deposit.

Also, need to send the waiver in, too.
