Is there still hope

I’m in my sophomore year of highschool with the semester coming to an end next week, currently failing my AP World History class. Honestly, if I were in AP Euro I would probably have at least a C, if not a B or A. I should have never even done AP and it was to late to opt out, so I was forced to stay in the damn class. You can take what I say and think nothing more of it, but when I say this I mean it, literally everything must be learned at home yourself. Nothing in my class is taught in class… nothing. You have to read the textbook and teach yourself at home reading chapter after chapter taking at least 2 or more hours to fully comprehend the chapters and take notes. The AP euro class take key point notes in class projected on the board and haven’t had to read one page of the text book at home, while my class has to read a chapter everyday. It’s to much, I just didnt know it’d be like this and I want out. Next semester I’m taking a regular or honors history class and making up for my fail over summer. My grades in all my other academic classes are A’s. I just wanna know if there is still hope for me getting into a good college. I just should have never taken the class, I wasn’t ready and never enjoyed or cared for history in the slightest for all my life. And if I had taken regular history I’d have an A, which just upsets me. Sadly I just couldn’t manage to do all that home learning while keeping my grades up in all my other classes. I like history, but I’m more of a scientist not a historian.
