Is this a good 4-year schedule for high school?

I'm a HS senior, but I'm wondering if I've made the best decisions I could have with scheduling in high school. I've had a lot of AP classes, but not as many as some people on here, and I ended up taking a few classes that were kinda useless.

So what I'm asking is, could you guys judge my schedule as if it was a freshman's plan for the future? I'm just curious if I could have done better in high school, so this could help me in planning for college.

The format for these is (First Semester / Second Semester). If there are no dashes, then the class lasted for both semesters.

Freshman:

Honors Geometry
Honors Comm. Arts I
Honors Biology
Physical Education (required)
Spanish 2.5 (the "advanced" spanish)
Intro to Journalism / Speech I
Computer Applications / Gifted Education (it's basically a college and test prep class)
Middle East Studies (taken online)

Sophomore:

AP European History
Honors Algebra II
Honors Comm. Arts II
Sophomore Chemistry
Spanish 3.5 (the "advanced" spanish)
Gifted Education / Intro to Computer Programming
School Newspaper
Health and Wellness (taken online)

Junior:

AP United States History
AP English Language
AP Biology
Honors Pre-Calc and Trig
Anatomy and Physiology
Gifted Education (both semesters this year)
School Newspaper

Senior:

AP English Literature
AP Statistics
AP Government / AP Psychology
Psychology / Zoology
Physics (regular)
Gifted Education (both semesters)
School Newspaper

This schedule is very good - you look to be a gifted student who enjoys challenges. I have taken/am taking many of the same AP courses myself, and the only change I would have made is I would have taken AP Calculus since you took Precalc. Also, your performance in these classes, especially those of the honors and AP level, are an important factor. But on the whole, I don’t think you have much to regret. Good luck with your future endeavors!!!

It’s a great schedule and you should feel really good about all the hard work you’ve put in. For what it’s worth, my son will graduate in June with only two APs under his belt and he’s been accepted to some really amazing schools. It’s not always about who takes the hardest classes…often it’s more about who presents with the most well-rounded one. Good luck!

You’ve got a lovely schedule =P Now just rock those college applications and SATs and you’re great
