<p>I'm trying to get into a highly selective college and my essay is going to be on how I was placed into lower level classes Freshman year and how it motivated me to do better. On another thread I was told this is a cliche essay topic. Should I change it?</p>
<p>Write with what you feel is your best bet. Don’t rely on what people on CC say for everything; it won’t hurt to write a rough draft and go from there. You may find that the essay you write is true and unique, no matter how cliche its synopsis is. But if you’re writing about lower level Freshmen classes, be sure to be specific and show how it does or will connect to college courses/interests. Best of luck!</p>
