For the common application I am doing the topic "Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there and why is it meaningful to you?" and I decided to talk about my friends. And how I feel perfectly content when surrounded by my friends. Of course I am going to be going in depth with this subject but I decided I'm going to talk about how growing up as an only child is lonely because I have no siblings and there's no one I could talk to or hang out with (other than my parents but of course they have work ans were busy) thus making me lonely... So when I am spending time with my friends, all the loneliness and sadness that I've experienced goes away and instead is filled with joy and happiness. The point of my essay is to talk about how being with my friends and spending time with them makes me happy and not lonely anymore. Also when I am with my friends, time is precious to me and I never want the time (with my friends) to end because I would have to go back home and experience loneliness again. I was wondering if this would be a good idea to talk about in my essay for this particular topic... I realize that "friends" is very broad but I was thinking if I approach the topic this way (discussing my loneliness at home as I grew up and when I spent time with friends make the loneliness go away) it would possibly be a good idea....
