Essay Topic?

So I'm the type of person who loves speaking about the mundane but I'm not sure how this essay topic is.

Prompt: Describe a place or environment where you are perfectly content. What do you do or experience there, and why is it meaningful to you?

I want to talk about one of my best friend's car. Honestly, it is the one place where I'm perfectly content. But part of the reason why it's meaningful for me is because I'm practically in love with the owner of the car (he doesn't like me back but we're best friends). But whenever I'm with it, I feel so safe and I'm normally in the car with my 2 best friends (the guy mentioned before and my other absolute best friend and sometimes one other person). I'm always happiest here. But as far as things we do, we all talk about life and it's so wistful and gives me a feeling of "wow I'm alive" kind of stuff. Like the basic adolescence confused about life kind of stuff - and we sit and talk for 3 hours every Friday night. But also, the guy I'm in love with and I hook up in this car a lot and it's super meaningful to me but I'm not sure if I should talk about that.. and also because he doesn't like me back.. none of it is meaningful to him.

But in all, it's my favorite place because I don't feel alone. I always feel intimate.
But LARGELY the reason is that I love the guy that drives it.

I’d say go with that topic because I can see that it means a lot to you, but STAY AWAY from the hooking up part. Maybe describe one of your conversations about life. Also, it’s a really interesting topic because you know a kid who actually has a car! It’s unique in that way because teenagers rarely have cars.

I don’t see this essay doing you any favors.

If you choose that topic, it may be hard to make yourself appear interesting and likable and the type of person selective colleges want on their campuses instead of other very highly qualified candidates. Choose wisely.

It might make you seem like an immature high school student if you write about romance.

This topic sounds lovely except for the romance and hooking up part. if you decide to use this topic, stick to specific, revealing details about the car, the friends, and incidents that are connected with the car (other than hooking up).
