is this a good idea or no?

i'm a current hs senior who has been accepted into Georgetown's school of Nursing and Health Studies to which I applied as a nursing major. While the nursing career appeals to me (the medicine field in general appeals to me) i am also considering veterinary medicine.

Do you think I can to attend gtown as a nursing major, get my degree, become an RN, and then apply for vet school? The nursing curriculum covers most of the prerequisite requirements for vet school anyways, such as biology and biochemistry. Just in case i decide not to do vet school, i will still have my nursing degree to fall back on, and i can even get my masters and specialize in a a field.

Is this a good idea?

bump.............

sounds like a solid plan, but I'm no expert.

You should look on the internet for medical boards. Try posting your question on those boards.

I've heard ADCOMS really, really do not nurses applying to med school. This is just what i've heard, don't take it for fact.

Right, I remember someone else mentioning that on another thread. I think the reasoning was that there is currently a nursing shortage, that is expected to worsen in the coming years. The admissions officers for med schools don't want to contribute to the problem by taking nurses out of the nursing field.
