I'm not the strongest math student, but I signed up for AP Statistics for my Senior Year... over the summer, I was planning on sitting in on a 6 week community college Stats course and possibly try to expose myself to the material prior to taking the class... Would it be worth the time and energy? Would it actually help me in Stats?

AP Stats is said to be one of the easier AP classes.

I know, but for some reason in my school, AP Statistics is harder than AP Calc AB and BC, and I’m not too sure why. I think it might be the teachers, but many of my friends who are in both Calc and Stats swear on a stack of bibles that Stats is harder than Calc. They usually say its because “stats is an enigma… its like magic, you really don’t understand the math behind it, you’re just plugging in numbers” while Calc is easier to actually understand on a systematic level.

You don’t need to sit in a college class, maybe read a few internet articles or buy an AP review book. Stats i really not bad at all, even for people weak in math.

My school actually offers AP Statistics as an alternative to Honors Precal.
