Is this a good offer?

I got $34,750, for financial aid. Dickinson scholarship+Pell Grant+Coral Grant

But since it costs $56,000 to attend, I still have to pay $21,250/yr--->4 yrs: $85,000+

And I'm planning on going to medschool afterwards.

Miami is my top choice right now, but it's still too expensive! Should I still go?

Other choice:
Union college 49k aid. 56k attendance----> I pay: 7k/yr

Which would you pick?

Union College

Assuming you or your parents have the $21,250 to pay for UM, save the differential (ie, 14,250 per year) for med school

Assuming you do not have the $21,250 to pay for UM, and would be taking out a loan, life will be much easier for you without the $57k hanging over you. Surf the web and this board; do you see anyone happy with loans?

Where are you getting $56k from? It’s “only” about $45-48k.

I’m not the OP, but the COA for 2011-2012, for new freshman, is $56k
