Is this a good sophomore schedule?

During my freshmen year, I had too many basic classes. No advanced. GPA was average IMO, a 3.5. Is this schedule good? I'm planning on attending UMich.

1st hour: Finance & Investment
2nd hour: AP US History
3rd hour: Geometry (I tried taking this during summer school for advancement so that I could take Algebra 2, but both of my parents found jobs and I had two younger siblings to take care of)
4th hour: Spanish 2
5th hour: Honors Biology
6th hour: American Literature/Writing

Your schedule is ok but you should try to take more APs. If you can you might want to take geometry and algebra 2 at the same time and/or replace finance and investment and american literature/writing with an AP or at least an honors class. You also might want to try and take honors chemistry as well. I don’t know much about UMich except it is a good school so I can’t really help you there. sorry and good luck with this year

3.5 is far from average… In my school a 3.5 would put you in the top 15%. (roughly) Your schedule looks fine. You’re only a sophomore and have plenty of time to improve. Stop comparing yourself to CCers

^It all depends on what school you go to, at my school (it’s very competitive) the average is probably 4.0.

Your schedule looks pretty good, only thing is Math is kinda behind :/

Actually, the math is average. Generally, anything higher than pre-algebra in middle school is advanced.

It looks decent. Kinda one year behind in Math and Science for CCer standards

If it’s all stuff you’re interested in/required to take, then sure! Since you haven’t taken any advanced classes yet, jumping to all Honors/APs probably wouldn’t be a good idea. Besides, colleges like seeing an increase in schedule difficulty.
If you find your schedule really easy this year, you can always add a couple more APs or honors next year, since junior year is kind of vital.
