Is this a good Theme for my Essay?

<p>I have starting considering potential essay topics and have come up with one but I would like some advice on whether it would be a good topic.</p>

<p>I have gone to canoeing camp for the past 6 years, which culminated with me paddling across the arctic ocean this summer. I was thinking about writing about how on these trips I learned to be introspective, as well as how to trust myself, how I enjoyed the trip even though it was hard work (shows my enjoyment of the process and not just the result of situations), and just generally how my experiences have shaped me as a person. </p>

<p>Does this sound like a good topic, or does anybody have any advice on how to improve it?</p>

<p>In my opinion this is a good topic, I remember my child’s essay topic was about their european tour and how it made an impact in his or her life.
if you’re aiming for the Class of 2017, then good for you, this is definitely the right time to start practicing writing, essay is one of the most important factor in college applications.
