Is this a good topic?

I'm having a hard time coming up for a topic for my essay and I was wondering if this was a good one.

The directions are: Describe the personal experience that gave you the feeling of greatest achievement or satisfaction because of the challenges you met.

I am thinking about learning how to swim. I plan to write about how I lived in New York, and had never been in a swimming pool, and how when I moved to Georgia I fell in love with the water. I could describe how I felt in the water and then I was how I determined to learn how to swim. I went practicing every day at 7 in the morning during the summer and did research, and finally learned how to swim. Now I go whenever I need to relive stress.

-OR-

I was also thinking of writing an essay on the process of writing thid essay.
So any recommendations?

How old were you when you learned to swim?

It was only a few months ago, so 16

In that case, the swim idea would be appropriate imo.

BTW, congratulations!

The "essay on writing an essay" idea, like any other idea, could be good if it would allow your writing to be personal, detailed, honest and revealing. However, if the idea basically represents an effort to be novel or different, then it would not be a good idea imo.

Thanks, I think I am going to write about the 'essay about the essay', and I will try to make it revealing.

Note from the Mod: I just want to explain that it says your post was moderated just now but it really was NOT touched at all. I picked a random post and didn't even read your post, to test out a technical function and after I touched the tools, it left a note in your post that your post was edited and so I want to explain it was NOT edited or changed in ANY way....sorry about that....carry on :)
