Is this a real admission letter?

Hi all,
Somebody claims that got admitted in Stanford. Somehow, this admission letter looks different from the other ones that I have seen. I maybe wrong. I notice that the name which is on the other ones is in black in and " Dear First Name, ". In the other hand, name is in red ink, and “Dear Full Name with no comma” and there is no student name above the student ID.

For example: Dear John Brian Smith

Instead of this format:

John Brian Smith
Student ID: 123456789
Dear John,

I am just curious if it is real?

Thanks!

Here’s an image of Allan Cheng’s Stanford acceptance letter (but from 2005). Stanford Acceptance Letter: Real and Official

But why would you care?

No, it is not like that image. Because her parents are not rich to waste money to buy tickets to CA for nothing. That’s why I care, we are in a family! When you know your child is a liar, what would you do? May I ask you back?

If there is any doubt, call or email Stanford’s Admissions Office.

Or login to the admissions portal?

So the issue is that the child might have faked the acceptance letter?

Just google “stanford admission letter” and you will see tons of images of Stanford acceptance letters.

Thank you !
There are 9 digits, the first digit is not zero. Something like this 221234567

No Full Name
Student ID: 221234567 (red color)
Dear John Brian Smith (red color and no comma)

Congratulations etc…

Thank you. I did. However, I thought each division or each program maybe issue an acceptance letter in different format. That’s why I just want to make sure!

The only way to be sure is to contact the admissions office if you do not have access to the kid’s Stanford portal. While a really bad forgery will be a giveaway, it is not so hard to photoshop a “perfect” forgery. I assume you have good reason to doubt this person.

The red ink is suspicious for sure. Good luck.

Here’s the definitive answer. Since there is nothing more to be said, and given that the thread is a disallowed “asking for a friend” post, I’m closing.
