Is this alright?

Hi all,

I'm not sitting my ACT and 2 SAT 2's until april and october respectively and I'm going to be apply for 2013 (Class of 2017).

I am scottish and have been living there all my life, I just wanted to clear a few things up:

1) I've heard a rumour that early decision increases chances of admission
2) As a woman ,I'm a minority(somebody said that it increases admission chance)
3) I come from a family earning under £37,000($60,000) does this help my case as supposedly I'm poor( and I feel it)
4) I'm international so am I put up against other internationals
5) My parents didn't go to college( a friend says this increases my chances)

And finally: I did 5 years of tap and jazz along with 10yrs of highland dance which I compete in and have won around about 60ish and have taken part in the scottish championships. I have heard places are needed for dancers but I'm in doubt with this.

I have some extra's too

Thanks for the help

1) At some schools, somewhat for some applicants
2) Women are now the majority at most U.S. schools
3) As an international being poor generally hurts your chances
4) Yes
5) Somewhat at most schools
