Is this an ok AP schedule for next year?

AP Lit
AP Calc BC...tiny chance might drop to AB
AP Spanish (w00t)
AP Government/Econ
Contest Speech
Newspaper

By then, I will have taken AP Euro (2...), US, Comp, and Bio.

It's going to be my senior year, and I was hoping that colleges would see it as challenging. I know compared to all of these amazing students on CC, it's not much, but I'm not applying to Harvard or anything. =)

I'm no longer taking a science, so I don't know how that's going to play. But I want to be a linguistic anthropo/english major, not a biochemist. =) And I'm applying for the mid and upper competitive UCs (UCB, UCSD, UCI), privates (Pepperdine, Pitzer, Pomona), and selective privates (Stanford).

Sorry if this sounded like a "Chances" thread. I just want to be sure that I have an adequate schedule.

I feel that you have a very impressive schedule with many difficult courses. Good Luck though with all of those APs, a lot of reading each night is sure to come.

Yes, it is ok.

I have
AP Comp/Lit
AP Biology
AP Euro
AP Statistics
Physics
International Problems
Trig/Pre-Calc

Is this good? Or should I add something like AP Psychology (self-study)

International problems sounds so interesting. Sorry, I can't really help you, as I can't say for sure. Where do you want to go?

International problems, accordingly, focuses on political problems of the Middle East, Asia, Russia, Africa...and I have no idea where I want to go! I live in Washington. What do you recommend?

You should take if it interestes you, plus it will look good on your college app

sounds great....go for it.

both of you guys have 4 APs. that's good.

GumBall, just wondering, are you going to be a math/science major? cause senior year taking trig/pre-calcullus doesn't look good for either of those two majors.

i have
AP CHEM
AP BIO
AP LIT
AP GOV/ECON
AP CAL BC
SPAINSH 8
GERMAN 5

i hav:
AP Bio
AP calc (AB or BC i havent decided...help me out)
AP Latin- vergil
AP American Lit
International relations/hon
Journalism
Holocoust/hon

and an amherst college american studies class

do BC because you would get more credit. Cal AB is 2/3 of a calculus course in college while BC is 3/3

Well, I'm actually a sophomore, that would be my junior schedule. Senior Schedule, I believe I would take...

AP Literature
AP U.S. History
AP Calc AB maybe BC
French 3
French 4

So far I have all A's, except for a B in freshman year. I'm also Hispanic, so what do you guys sincerely recommend for a low-income minority? I'm interested in becoming a doctor...I have no idea in what to major, perhaps engineering or the liking. Feedback is appreciated.

Right now I have
AP Literature
AP Euro (used to be Western Civ. but they just switched it)
AP Bio
AP Calc AB
Spanish 6
and a really selective night course on the History of Western Political Thought (only 15 get in)
plus tons of electives

Would it be bad take AP Stat instead of AP Calc (as far as making me a stronger candidate goes). Because I hear that if you struggle in Trig then Calc is hard..... My dream school is Brown but I don't know if that's realistic. But I am definetly gonig for the top tier schools (i.e. Northwestern).

Oh... I want to major in Theatre... So I'm assuming taking AP Stat wouldn't put me at a disadvantage right?

i don't think so. sine you want to major in theatre but if anyone is majoring in math or science calc is a must
