I recently had a nightmare that I woke up late and I missed my English class. It seems odd that I'd be scared of missing such as class-is this a sign that I need to relax? I don't know, it just seems weird that I'd be scared of something such as missing an English lecture.

I had the exact same situation. Except I woke up early. But, then about a week and a half later, I woke up late and missed my class. Trust me, it's okay. Just make sure you get up to your alarm.

people have weird dreams, it's no biggie. At my job, we use this computer program where we are not allowed to type quotation marks in the comments box because it screws with the system and thus we get in big trouble. A girl I work with had a dream that she used quotations and got fired. Really strange thing to have a dream about but hey, human brain is strange.

Just wait until finals roll around. You'll have nightmares about missing those for a long time.

I had some weird dreams about school, but they never meant anything. Unless they started letting dinosaurs in school... Then I'll be in big trouble.

Haha okay okay. It just seems odd that I'm scared about school of all things. Maybe it's because I am afraid of failure, but hey who isn't.

I had a dream once where my school was made of glass. It looked kind of like a greenhouse only it had three floors. The floors weren't glass, but all the walls were made of glass so you could always see outside and into classrooms. I went to the second floor and made it to my Art class, only the classroom was much different than the room we used in real life. In the dream it looked like it was in the corner or something. For some reason the ceiling was low too. Class only lasted for like ten minutes before it was over and when I opened the door to leave, the floor started to vanish. Don't know what this dream is telling me, though.

Nickel Xenon, I've had a "greenhouse" dream too-- the academic buildings were all made of glass, and they were flooded in water up to our shins. Never figured it out but that was two years ago and I still remember it.

I had it sometime in high school, so maybe three years ago?

Your subconscious is dealing with something.
You shouldn't take dreams literally, but you can learn something from them. (And I don't mean esoteric bs like 'tulips= bad sxx tomorrow or whatever.)
It's more like: What do you associate with English classes? Are you afraid of missing out stuff? Are you afraid you won't be able to deal with them? Or do you think you won't be able to deal with being responsible for yourself? Do you associate them with something happy, and are you afraid to lose happiness? Do you...?

There are millions of things those dreams could mean, and I guess you just have to go with your guts feeling. Nothing is the same for different people.

PS: I did have dreams about having a freak accident with the blackboard in class, and everybody panicking and nobody calling the ambulance. Later I realised that I was probably expecting to fail, for me it went too well - in comparison to the others, who were struggling.

I graduated college 27 years ago and still have dreams where I am back in college, morning of exams, and I have not gone to any of my classes! I am always on my way to school, but keep coming up against roadblocks on the way.....like..."where was that school again?"

Perhaps that's what it is. English is my most important class right now, and I'd be damned if I got a B. Maybe my expectations are so high that my mind is telling me to cool off a little. Who knows.

Well, they say it's good students who have those dreams.... If it's any comfort, I have them now as a professor -- I can't get to class, I don't remember what I"m teaching, I don't have a syllabus (I haven't even WRITTEN it), and when I get there I discover I'm teaching something for which I'm totally unqualified.

i had a dream where i was a super crime fighting gorilla once.

And Ryan takes the cake.

I had that dream a day after I passed out in my friend's room after a night of partying and woke up to find that my friend and her roommate had shaved a superman logo onto my chest.

You're giving me ideas :-)

ive had dreams that like i missed a huge exam and woke up wondering if it really happened or not. i think its just the stress. last night i had a dream that i spilled a large coke methodically into my computer. thankfully most nights my dreams are normal, fun and rediculosu
