Hey, I'm still unsure what I wanna do with my life...so do you think I could apply to the engineering school and try to major in mechanical engineering, while still taking all the required courses for pre-med? And if it is possible, will the workload kill me?

You can do it, a lot of my friends have done it. Mech E isn't a hugely demanding major. I mean yes, it is a lot of work, but most people have had time to squeeze in a minor. Pre-med is basically a minor I guess.

I was an EE major and did a minor in Philosophy. Not dead yet.

So...do you know people who have done premed specifically with mechE major?

There are pre-meds who are majoring in all sorts of engineering subjects. It isn't a big deal. You aren't even close to the first one to have thought of it. It isn't close to crazy.

But, is it a lot more work than the average student gets?

You take pretty much the same number of classes to graduate no matter what you do. You'll just have fewer electives since you'll have more required classes.
