So I sent in the enrollment deposit to my second choice school on April 30, as it was due May 1. I have since been accepted into my dream school, and the deposit isn't due until July 1. If I call and let my second choice school know I won't be attending and then deposit at my first choice, is this considered double depositing? Am I screwed because I already deposited at one school?

No. You are fine. This is just like being accepted off a wait list. Congrats on the dream school.

Correct. Double depositing would be if you make your deposit at your 2nd (dream) school, and do not withdraw or notify the one you enrolled on April 30, thereby holding 2 spots simultaneously. By withdrawing the April 30 school, you’re doing exactly what you should be doing. Congrats!

You are doing the right thing. Congratulations too!

Thanks! Do you guys know what would be the proper way to withdraw? Should I write a formal letter to the school, or just give them a call and explain that I wont be attending?

Call and e-mail that you can be sure they have received your decision as soon as possible. E-mail may be preferred as you would have a record on that.
