Is this frowned upon?

Theoretically speaking, one could just take the ACT and AP tests, and be done with everything, rather than taking the SAT + 2 subject tests and AP tests right? Would colleges look upon this as looking for the easy way out?

If the College requires Subject Test, I doubt you can replace it with ACT. So you’ll take the ACT and a subject test.

But i’m talking about just if the college doesn’t care. No requirements for Subject tests if you took the ACT. I know that most colleges prefer SAT + Subject Tests or ACT unless they specifically said ACT takers had to take Subject tests too.

There is no problem doing that at all, as long as you meet the requirement, taking more tests isn’t necessary.

I agree with Brownparent. Many students take the ACT with writing to avoid having to take subject tests (where schools allow that).
