So on my candidate profile (parent Info), I wrote that my father is dceased (not true!! It was a mistake!!) and about less than a week ago, my mother got an email from Hotchkiss asking to clarify that (sincE on my financial aid data, it says that my dad is working). However, I did not get anything from St.Paul's, DEerfield, and Andover. Is this good or bad??

First, contact all schools to which the profile was submitted. Tell them you just realized your mistake and you apologize. Clarify that your father is very much alive.

Second, if you are applying for financial aid, your father’s part of the financial aid application needs to be completed, and all his supporting documentation needs to be submitted to NAIS immediately, if that hasn’t already been done. If it has not been done, I would strongly suggest asking him to upload electronic copies of all documentation, rather than mailing it in. That will speed processing time.

If, in fact your father’s financial information is just being sent now, you should mention that in your email to the schools. Perhaps they can delay processing your financial aid application until they have the new data.

If you are not applying for financial aid, then ignore the last two paragraphs, send a quick email to the schools and you should be fine.

Um i all sent the documents and stuff. :)

But I’ll make sure to send emails to DA, PA, and SPS
thanks!!

How could you have messed up this live and death situation? Since BS are looking hard for good qualities from their candidates, this is really the distraction you don’t need, and probably won’t sit too well with AO’s. Good luck, and hope everything works out.

I don’t think AOs would get too mad over something like this. Just clarify with all the admission offices that your father is alive.

:'( okay I’ll send emails to all the schools… But I’m curious about why didnt DA, SPS, and PA send me emails to clarify this? Do they just don’t care about me now???

Many schools are still reading applications for the first time (they have many to read!), so it’s possible they haven’t gotten to yours yet or that they didn’t notice the discrepancy.

Easy to tick the wrong box or click in the wrong place…

Don’t worry about it. Send a very polite email pointing out your error. This won’t hurt you with the AO’s; it shows you know how to own up to mistakes and how to take action to rectify things.

Thanks! I’ve sent emails to DA, SPS, and PA, and DA already replied my email saying that they’ll correct it, and PA said that they can’t answer personal emails since they are so busy…
well I hope this works out! THank you everyone for helping me! :)
