My father is actually unemployed. But I made a big mistake by saying that my father had a job on my additional information---commonapp. (I wrote a small paragraph about my family's situation, and indirectly said that my dad had a job)
What should I do now??????????????????????? I had actually thought that my father had a job :/

Means nothing as to admission. Means a lot to financial aid but that will be determined by info submitted on the FAFSA, which I assume you haven’t sent yet and best to check as to when it is due for particular college.

Well, it seems as if you did not make a mistake. You fully thought your father had a job. That won’t change your admission, but be sure to write the current situation when applying for financial aid.

So, will I still be fine? I’m worried Will the admission officers ask the financial aid office to get some personal information about my parents and find out my big mistake?

The admissions office asking the fin. aid. office for information is pretty unlikely. I think you’re fine, just make sure you mention your current situation at an interview and on your scholarship/FAFSA/aid applications. The office will assume circumstances changed, and if they ask, you can always explain your mistake.

Like everyone else said, it means nothing to admissions officers.
