I checked my daughter's stat page and they say that they have received everything. On the stat page there is suddenly access to Oasis which I clicked. This is new for her. While she couldn't get into Oasis it did contain the usual register for class options, buy books etc. Is this there for everyone?

I have access to it too and I have not received anything.

I would hazard a guess that's it's a good sign.

where exactly did you find this? on the page where it says "we are currently reviewing..."?

Yeah, where is this on the page?

Once my S paid his acceptance deposit, he received an email that had his sign in name and password for Oasis. The site contains your USC email account and your STARS acct which is your degree requirements. My S's Stars acct had his major input about week or so before he got his acceptance packet (the acct showed a date stamp for input of info). So I would think you have been accepted!!! Congrats!

i can only log into oasis through this link:

https://afa.usc.edu/AFA/login.jsf

that leads you to admissions OASIS but if I try to log in regularly it says "invalid USCID"

it shows the same exact status as it does on the regular status page.

is this what you're talking about?

OK, so there have been a few posts on her debating whether or not finacnial aid documents ahve anything to do with the admissions status and most people have agreed they are NOT connected. However, after being in preliminary review for an extended period of time, my status finally changed to "currently reviewing" on March 7, but the date did not change until March 12. I was messing around on my OASIS account when I stumbled across my financial aid status. I submitted the tax returns and such in late February, but the received date happens to be March 12.

Custodial Parent Form 03/12/2008

I know this may be a huge coincidence, but I was curios to see if anyone else's status date had any correlation with their financial aid status.

Is Oasis only financial aid stuff?

Nave--
I am trying to remember how it worked. Once he paid the $300 deposit, he got an email that had a new USC id name. The USC id name is used to get onto the My USC page. It is different than the ID and password used to check admission status. The My USC page contains your USC email acct, Stars, Oasis, enrollment, etc. The Stars acct shows your degree requirements. Thats where it showed his major/college being input about a week or 10 days before he got his acceptance packet.

What is this oasis stuff? And where is it located on your status page?

Oasis stands for online academic student information system. I don't remember if it was on my S's status page. Currently, it does not appear. He accesses Oasis by going to the My USC page. Has anybody tried clicking on the Stars account in Oasis. That's where I found S's degree info showing his college and major input before he got his acceptance packet.

I don't see a link anywhere either.

I'm a current student, and I just access OASIS through http://www.usc.edu/oasis

When I log into my son's Financial Aid and Documents account, the next page gives information regarding Admission and Financial Aid Online Services. I have been able to access this page since I filed our tax documents. Clicking on any of the choices gives no information as we have received no acceptance and no financial aid. In the upper left hand of that page is the option for OASIS services with his USC ID. Has that option been there the whole time, I HAVE NO IDEA since I was never looking for it. Clicking on it does land me on the registration page. Wouldn't it be nice if it meant something? I think it's just a dead link only to be activivated if and when you are accepted.

i don't think being able to log into OASIS means anything special. Its basically just a document tracker for ur admissions and financial stuff. yes, it does tell what your status is and what your fin aid award is. nave typed down the link i use, i think protokurios is only for admitted or current students. you can make an OASIS account if you don't have one. just click "new? sign up."

I just checked Oasis and it said my d CSS Data Profile had been reviewed 3/15. Her application still says reviewed 3/12 and in review. Anyone else have their finacial aid stuff reviewed lately?

All my stuff was reviewed last month within days of when I sent it in. The only recent thing is my Non-Filer form, which was lost the first time, so I submitted it again recently.

Unfortunately my daughter doesn't qualify for financial aid. My husband didn't send in any of those forms. And my daughter filed a paper application so the only thing that her file says is that basically we've got everything and we will let freshman applicants know by April 1st.

i can sign into the oasis website (like the actual student one)
but it doesnt say anything under the "STAR" category

is that a bad sign?
