Hi, this my first time posting. Iwas just wondering if it was possible to major in human anatomy and physiology. Is this really a major that colleges offer? And if it is a major, would I be able to major in it as an undergrad or would I be able to major in it if I were accepted to medical schoo? I appreciate any advice that someone could give to me. Thanks. :>)

What is it that you want to do with anatomy and physiology?

Either research or maybe be a professor at a university

Umm, those two are not mutually exclusive. If you are a professor, then research is going to be a major part of your life and the way in which you secure your employment through tenure. If your research isn't "good enough" it will in fact make it difficult for you to stay at any one university for an extended length of time.

It's possible that some schools may offer a major in this field, but most won't. Most will put you in some sort of biology major and then in grad school you'll specialize to focus on the smaller subtopic of human anatomy/physiology.

major in something more broad like biology, that way you'll have more opportunities after getting the degree. Then if you want to focus on anatomy go to gradute school that's geared towards that.

Heck, I haven't had an Anatomy and Physiology professor (lab or lecture) who had ANY prior Anatomy and Physiology experience. My lab instructor had a biology degree, but had never taken A&P. My lecture professor had her degree in Zoology!

But she knows her stuff!!
