Is this OK? Regarding Sr Grades

my cumalitive through jr yr was a 3.52

1st semester sr yr gpa = 3.4 (5 Ap classes)

2nd semester projected = 3.0 (" ")

Will this be ok for U of Washington?

I know people last yr who had far worse and did not receive a letter warning them or rescinding them etc, but i would like to know that i will be ok i guess bc people have been scaring me on here.

thanks a lot

Definitely.

good to hear. thanks.

Yep, you should be fine.

You're only in trouble once you start dipping into D's and F's.

as in below a 2.0?

bc in my 3.0 there may be a D, of course i will try to maintain the C, but the people i know from last year at UW and a friend of mine who emailed a counselor said that just do not fail a class or drop a class and of course get good grades still.

i had no Ds 1st semester. Just 4 As, 2 Bs, 1 C

this semester it could be a 3.14... 4 As, 1 B, 1 C, 1 D

Get the D up to a C and you should be fine.

Not to steal the thread or anything....just out of curiosity, what is a "D" equivalent to on a 100 point scale? I'm from an area where we only have number grades so this is kinda confusing for me.

60.

so i just talked to a friend who is at UW and he had a 3.4 1st semester and a 3.0 second with a D. and another guy he knows who had 2 Fs and a 2.9 2nd semester. They both received no warning letter or nothing. I guess it really just depends. I will for sure try and get the D up though.

i was thinking i just find it hard to believe that UW would rescind someone for getting 1 D second semester sr yr after getting a 3.4 first semester and a 3.0+ second still. Again not trying to say I am going to settle for a D, i just don't want to worry ah sorry thats all.

Do you really want to risk it? Lol.

I don't think they would either, but let's not risk it, shall we?

agreed my friend.

my friend got an F in calc and he got warning calls from bentley telling him to raise it up or face rescission. shafted!

i'm kind of worried though, because i have an F in calc too...

but nah OP you'll be fine

thanks for the heads up. ya no way will i be getting an F in any subject!
