i want to work during the summer (4 months) so that I can get 20k for college. is there any job out there that u can get 5000 dollars a month for? im not talking about ordinary jobs like a waiter or a kiosk salesperson. im looking for jobs that dont have an hourly rate, but pay based on commission (loan consultant, etc..) so i can get that 20k. ne suggestions? btw, im a high school senior.

I'm pretty darn sure there are no jobs that pay that much, especially for someone with no work experience or college degree. You'd probably be lucky if you made 5000 the entire summer.

Yeah I don't think thats gonna happen for a high school senior...sorry.

I did know someone who made close to $10,000 in one summer, but that was working in the oil fields, doesnt sound like the kind of thing you want to do.

You can sell stuff on eBay for people for commission...

Loan refinancing? ... the GS NY internship pays $14K for 10 weeks, before taxes. But that's only for college students and the best of the best. Expect working 80-130 hours a week (yes, that's right.)

To make $20K, why don't you just apply for scholarships on FastWeb, get a Real Estate license for $400 and a month of studying, and also do some loan-refinancing), which will give you a hefty commission.

You'll be lucky if you can earn that much after you finish college. I think it's time to make another plan for where the college money is going to come from. You will probably need to apply for a loan. Scholarships are great, and you should sure do some research and see if you can find any for which you are eligible. That's probably the best way to "make" the money.

well for the scholarships ive been applytig for them since the beginning of senior year, ive lost count of how many ive applied to. thats why i was getting fed up with the scholarships and decided to just earn the money myself. i still apply for scholarships and try my best to get at least one, but i know that the possibility is low.

yeah, i'm sorry, 20k in four months is just not going to happen for a high school senior. and a lot of commission jobs are kind of sketch, especially if they hire kids just out of high school. maybe you should try for loans and such, while still working at a higher-paying job this summer (for instance, i know SAT tutors can make around $30/hr, tutors can make +$20/hr)

Well you can become a stockbroker straight out of HS...but you have to go full time.
