Is this sophomore year schedule rigorous enough?

AP Unites States History 1
English 10 H
Biology CP (or honors, not sure yet)
Geometry CP
German 3 H
AP US Government and Politics
Psychology 1 (elective)/ Financial Literacy (required elective)
Clothing Construction (taking this to fulfill practical art requirement, plus I also have an interest in fashion)

Not exactly sure what specific colleges I want to apply to. Currently, I have schools such as NYU(cousin went there, would i be considered a legacy??), UC's, Boston College, etc. in mind. Is this type of schedule good enough for schools like those?

That’s pretty easy in CC terms, but if that’s rigorous for you, go with it. When it all comes down to it, you have to be the judge.

Seems average. Maybe try to take geometry over the summer, so you can take Calculus senior year.
No, you aren’t a legacy at NYU. As long as you do well in those classes and skip a math class, this schedule seems reasonable for those colleges except maybe Berkley and UCLA.

Just as a comparison, I’m taking:

AP World History
Honors English
Latin 3 Honors/Latin 4
AP Chemistry
Honors Pre-Calculus
Intro to Computer Science and Java Programming
Guitar

I think it will be more than enough to get you in to all the UC’s if you get all A’s or close to it, save UCB and UCLA (though you’ll definitely have a shot). I’m not too familiar with NYU and BC. You won’t be a legacy at NYU. I do hear a lot about NYU’s apparent lack of good financial aid, so make sure you are aware of that. If you’re good at math, I would recommend taking geometry over the summer. If it’s really not your thing, it’s fine. I think you should take honors bio; as a whole, biology isn’t very difficult at most schools.
