Hello, as a rising senior, I have recently been considering applying to some "better" schools. I've had my heart set on NYU for years, but lately I've been thinking about possibly applying for a couple of the Ivy Leagues. They'd surely be much more affordable, I believe.

That being said, I am beginning to fear that the classes I've chosen for this year will make it appear as if I am slacking off.

My junior year, I took these classes:

-regular French 4
-honors physics
-AP Calc BC (I took AB sophomore year, along with 3 regular courses and 3 honors)
-AP Lang. & Comp.
-AP Psych
-AP Stat
-AP U.S. History

You see, for my senior year I have to take a required economics course, and I am not eligible for AP. There is the option of taking it at a community college and filling the space with an AP, but I cannot afford that.

That being said, this is how my schedule for next year is looking:

-ceramics
-economics / business management
-AP Computer Science
-AP French
-AP Lit. & Comp.
-AP Physics
-Multivariable calculus offered by the community college at my high school

You see, this year I took 5 AP's with an honors and regular, and this year since I am taking the 5 "AP's" with two regulars, I am worried that it will appear that I am slacking off my senior year, especially since I am taking an art class.

Also, if it helps, I do a few clubs after school, but spend most of my time in the marching band and especially the stage crew. In the past 3 years I've spent at least 400 hours on the stage crew, and have leadership positions in both this and a couple of the honor societies that I am a part of.

Thank you for your help.
