For some reason I'm not stressed out at all about college load. I don't know if my highschool prepared me well but it seems like I have a ton of free time, I'm only taking 15 credit hours (freshman). I have homework but I always get it done, and most of my classes are general ed (psychology, speech, pre-calc, american landscapes...) lol they're easy for the most part, just a lot of reading which I manage to do, eventually. Sometimes I feel guilty because I feel there is more I need to do but I don't know what to do. Is this how 15 credit hours is?

If you’re taking a lot of intro courses, then yeah it’s normal. Once you start taking upper-level courses, things will change.

That was how my first two years were. Then I had to stop sleeping. lol

yes, yes it is. That’s the biggest adjustment with college, the amount of free time you have. Well, that and the all nighters…those will come too

Yea that’s normal for me. I’m taking 14 credits but its really like 11 credits because my online class that I’m taking is a big joke. I take pre tests and study them for like 5 minutes and take the test online an ace them. It gives me more time to go to the gym and go out at night. I took my heavy reading classes this summer so all I do is go to lectures and labs and thats all. I guess it also helps that I’m taking intro business and general ed courses.

It’s also early on in the semester… Come back when it’s closer to midterms/finals and we’ll talk.

I’ve only known a handful of people who took 15 credit hours [most of my friends are usually around 17-20], but they all had vast amounts of “free” time. I only say it in quotes because they applied their free time to work, internships, campus clubs, and other stuff, so they felt pretty busy even though it wasn’t all academics.
