I'm applying to New College of Florida, and they allow you to submit supplemental materials, so I was considering submitting a short story and an analytical paper. The thing is, the short story I'm submitting is sort of a tribute to Ulysses, a stream-of-consciousness "epic in the ordinary" type deal; I think it very accurately displays my writing ability (or insanity), but the thing is, it contains some profanity and some crude cloacal/sexual phrasing. Should I just edit the inappropriate segments out even though they're kind of integral to the "stream," leave them in, or just choose to send a completely different piece? New College is kind of a free-thinking school, they seem to be very open-minded, so maybe they wouldn't mind. Opinions?

What kind of profanity? Can you censor it and post it to give us an idea, or can you PM it to me?

I'm applying to New College too, but unfortunately my talent is in making historical and persuasive films. I'm not sure if I should send it because they wouldn't take the time to watch a 10 minute movie.

dude just go ahead and send the film, couldn't hurt.

also, sent you a PM. if anyone wants me to post it I will.
