<p>My status for this school still says </p>
<p>"Your application to Michigan State University has been received. Please ensure that your high school transcripts and official ACT or SAT scores, with writing, are sent to MSU. Once all material has been received and processed, an initial decision will be rendered within 12 weeks."</p>
<p>The latest my last document was recieved was 11/15.
Is it supposed to say file complete? My transcript, personal statement, SAT and ACT scores are all recieved in the file status.</p>
<p>I'm really worried, should I contact the school?</p>

<p>DS applied 11/1 and status didn’t show all documents logged in until 11/16. A few days later it was updated to “File is currently being reviewed by admissions counselor”. He received an acceptance on 11/23. Keep checking your account for updates, hopefully your status should change soon. Good Luck!</p>
<p>My son’s MSU status had that same status for over a month, then it said something about it being reviewed by an admissions counselor for over a week. Then finally there was a decision.</p>

<p>Does anyone know if you can refund deposits ?
I’m not sure if I want to go here for sure but I want to apply for housing now before all the good dorms are filled :/</p>
<p>In your admissions packet it states that the enrollment deposit is refundable upon written request until May 1st. We were thinking of sending it in also to guarantee good choice of housing. It’s probably a good idea to call admissions first and check for sure!</p>
<p>I called and confirmed that it is refundable, and paid a deposit for my son.</p>
