Is this workload doable with a job?

Hi everyone! I’m going into junior year in less than a week and I wanted to know if my current schedule is doable with working a job. I’ll be working no more than 20 hours a week, but no average around 14-17 hours/week. I’m fortunate to have a boss who understands that school is my top priority.

My Schedule (in this order)
AP Psychology
AP English Composition
AICE Thinking Skills 1 (Basically a critical thinking class; no homework or anything)
AP Environmental Science
Yearbook Honors
Algebra II
US History Honors

I’ve thought about dropping APES for Earth & Space Science Honors to make my course load a little easier. I’ve heard that AP Psych is an easy AP & it really memorization-based.

CC, what do you think? I’m struggling to decide if I should drop APES for E&S. I’m interested in APES, but I don’t feel as if I have enough time to dedicate to it. Do you feel as if I’m stretching myself thin? Any advice or thoughts are welcomed and encouraged.

It honestly depends on your grades, how well you usually do in school, as well as the teachers. Some schools have teachers that make ‘difficult’ APs like AP Chem or AP Physics a breeze, while other teachers can make AP Psychology extremely difficult. I don’t believe there’s an AP that’s just called AP English Composition. There are two similar ones that share a credit- AP Language and AP Literature. Typically AP Lit is a harder test so you might want to check that. Other than that, it seems like a very doable schedule with your job. APES is one of the easiest APs as well so as long as the teacher is decent, it should be roughly the same difficulty as AP Psych.
