Along with only aging 10 years it would only feel like 10 went by, including according to a clock. So it'd be like zipping through time 1.4 times faster

but it should be instantaneous like in the movies I wouldn't want to wait 10 to see 14 :[

If people could time travel, how come noone is here right now from the past or future? Total mularkey.

equine99, ok correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there a lack of friction in space, so pretty much once somebody broke orbit they really wouldn't need any more gas until they needed to turn around, but even then if they were smart enough they could just use another planet or stars gravitational pull to help turn them around requiring them only to carry the gas they need to get back into orbit of the earth which means that they really wouldn't need much more gas then what current shuttles or the apollo missions used. right? eh whatever

24 earth years to another solar system? You're kidding right? Even with the daedalus nuclear engine it would take 40 years to alpha centauri.

Of course you guys are forgetting that that kind of engine would take some incredible project that makes the Manhattan project look like a first grade show and tell presentation.

Exactly. All nuclear fission/fusion based engines have been shelved due to public pressure. Im all for them though.

Anywho if there was time travel why would they come to this time period as opposed to something pimp like seeing if moses' miracles happened. Or why would they make it public, aside from the fact that they would be considered crazy lol

If you push it to the limit, time travel is most certainly possible. However, at that point, your safety is not guaranteed.
