I've taken the SAT twice now, and i've gotten an 800 on math, and a 700 on writing, but only a 590 on CR. however the schools i'm applying too dont require all scores, or reccomend but don't require all scores and mainly look at your best score. Would taking the test even more be extremely harmful seeing as they only will look at my best? I obviously won't be taking it 6-7 times, but once MAYBE twice more.

I took it four times and things still worked out fine lol

Go ahead and take it again, but study hard and take practice tests first so that you improve your CR score and don’t have to take it a fourth time.

If I choose to take it a 4th time though, will it be harmful? Considering that I don’t have to report it could it have any negative connotation?

^no, because you don’t have to report it. You could take i like 10 times if you really wanted.

Some schools require that you send ALL of your test scores, so they will see how many times you took a test.

On another thread, I was told that you could delete ACT test scores. I checked out the ACT website and it seems legit.

Seven is a lot, but if you’re applying to schools that accept score choice, then no one’s going to care LOL.

If you’re applying to schools that reject score choice though… it might be a bit overkill.

Even if you’re only applying to schools that accept score choice, do you really want to sit in a classroom for three hours on a Saturday morning more than three times?
