<p>I will be entering UM as a regular undergrad next year, and I'm hoping to maybe transfer into honors at some time. Is it possible to transfer or is the Honors program?</p>
<p>Honors doesn't really matter Freshman and Sophomore years except that you get to live in South Quad and you take Great Books as a freshman writing requirement. However, once you declare a concentration and you maintain a certain GPA in that concentration (around 3.5-3.7 I think) then you get an honors degree. Many people who get honors degrees were not in the honors college entering Michigan.</p>
<p>So bottom line is don't worry about honors right now. Start thinking about it once you've made up your mind of exactly what you want to study.</p>

<p>That will show you all of the requirements and prerequisites for your course of study as well as offer info about an honors concentration.</p>
