I know that University of Michigan is still better than Michigan State's Honors College by a good margin but I'm still in the dilemma of staying at Michigan State next year (since that is when I start at the Honors College) or, as odd as it sounds, transferring to University of Michigan for Winter 2013 semester. I'm currently a freshman, and I've attempted to transfer to UMich for Fall 2012 but didn't get accepted, notably due to my lack of proper number of credits to be seen as a realistic transfer candidate or to make up for my dissenting high school performance. I'll be a sophomore next year and Winter 2013 will be the second semester of sophomore year. With these stats, do you think I would be able to transfer to University of Michigan, and assuming I do, should I transfer there for Winter 2013 semester or stay at MSU for the honors college?

College GPA: 3.83
Credits (by the end of Fall 2012): 46
Major: Biochemistry (w/ pre-medicine)
Misc.: Honors college, National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), research volunteer at Field Neurosciences Institute at St. Mary's, Dean's List
High school GPA: 3.33
High school ACT: 27

Thanks and let me know what would be more plausible/reasonable for me in my plans for next year.
