I’m an International applicant and just received acceptance fro UC Davis for Fall 2014.
Is it worth travelling to the US to study at this college? Plus I can’t apply for financial aid since I’m international, so my parents will have to pay tuition fees plus I need to find scholarships from my home country.
Is UC Davis worth all this? I can find better universities near my home country but have to take a gap year as all the application dates are closed.

If your family can afford it, then it’s a great experience and probably has better prestige than your home country’s college.

UC Davis has great programs that are nationally ranked. There is also a large international body at the school.

only you can answer that…it depends on where you live and what the comparative cost would be to you and whete you want to live as an adult. Given all that, however, it is hard to believe that it is worth it to go to UC Davis if “you can find better universities near your home country”.
