Is UCB saying to me that I'm a borderline student?

I have gotten the disability supplement too but something odd happened i recieved another email, and there is one difference between them,

Each year we ask a small group of students for additional information to enhance their application. We can’t emphasize enough that this information can only strengthen your case. It’s a unique opportunity to tell us more about your personal path to college without negatively affecting your application. In accordance with applicable privacy and other laws, we assure you that this information will be kept confidential.

and the old one says

Each year we ask a small group of students for additional information to enhance their application. We’d like to learn more about you and your academic experience, particularly in regards to the physical or mental difference, or medical condition you have shared in your application.

I know from research that all students are sent the disability questionaire if they are mentioning anything of a disability but can anyone else confirm that the new email is the borderline email or does anyone else have the same situation?

the new one is the borderline one

I got the “talent” questionnaire a few days ago and I know my stats were low for Berkeley (3.96 UC GPA, 1950 SAT).

I’m hoping the international, national, local and regional awards I’ve won over the past 13 years is enough for them…and a great letter of rec. from the UC Davis Assistant Taekwondo coach.

I hope everything turns out well for both of us!

Hi, my daughter recieved one of these emails yesterday. I wanted to ask, were you accepted after your sent more info to UCB?
I will appreciate your reply. Thanks

^ I definitely was accepted after I got the supplement  To be honest, if your daughter got the supplement that means they’re definitely considering her for admission  ,but want some extra, information that will make her profile stronger and make her a stronger candidate for acceptance. I honestly, treated all of the questions as personal statements like I did for the UC App. I believe you can also submit a letter of recommendation with the supplement which i also did as my high school counselor provided a letter of recommendation for me. I believe there is no word limit on the supplement,so let her write as much as she can. As a few of my friends only answered the question in 3-5 sentences and didn’t really make an impression, thus, they were not accepted. Allow her to express herself and her personality in the questions because that will make her profile stronger as a candidate and increase her chances of acceptance. Good luck!

I completely understand about the talent and the other supplement. I have helped my students to complete those augmented reviews, and successfully. But the disability one? (I’m referring to those above who had said “put your heart and soul in it,” etc. The disability questions are basically asking for factual information, and it’s not always possible or even appropriate to be “passionate” about a disability. It’s self-evident how to respond earnestly to the other versions of the supplements, but not to the disability one.

Yes, I think they’re giving you an opportunity to take your application over the top. What were your stats btw, if I may ask?
