Is UCI really a dead campus where there is no social life whatsoever?

this has been addressed before (quite thoroughly, IMO) in the other forums. just do a search and i'm sure you'll find plenty of answers. here's one you can start with (just skip the whole davis stuff if you want):

I'm sure there are better ones, but that's the one I gave some input to and actually have a link for, hehe.

hope this helps! :)

Well, if I took your word for it and assumed you DID ask everyone like you say in your post, then I would have to say yes UCI is a boring campus.

However, I am going to shoot from the hip here and challange the fact that you asked everyone, or even asked a substantial representative group to formulate your claim :)

In my opinion any 4 year institution has many opportunites for alot of fun, alot of action, alot of great times. Its the person who makes the situation boring.

I believe you will have a great time there. Skiing less than 2 hours away, Surfing less than 30 minutes away, shopping centers galore, hiking, fishing, camping, all within easy student travel distance.

Enjoy yourself, and enter with a positive attitude that you are going to make the best of your stay. :)

nice post, MysterX

Yeah, it's only boring if you make it boring, there certainly isn't a lack of places you can have fun since this city is freaking rich.

MysterX: skiing? You mean UCD for that one, right? Heh...

o_O

if you drive to some mountains only like an 1 1/2 away you can go skiing (Big Bear Mtn. etc.)

No, I meant UCI. I live in Irivne, and the drive to Big Bear is truely no more than 2 hours away. Easily quicker if you take toll roads or get lucky with traffic.

Of course I always end on the verge of death when I happen to go to Big Bear for skiing, or snowboarding.

I suck at it.:)
