Jetblue and Fireandrain… you’re both right.

Both messages can be found on CC. There are parents that will throw caution to the wind and “make it happen” because they “love their child, their child has ‘worked so hard,’ and they want their child to be happy.”

then there’s the other message: go where you can afford, don’t get yourself deep in debt, find affordable safeties, etc.

A decision has been made! The ballots are all in. I will not be posting or even reading any more comments after tonight. Those of you who actually tried to help, “Thank You” ! Like I said before, it was never about can we afford it or not, is was simply meant to ask for advice if my D’s #1 was worth the difference between her #2. This thread has taken a lot of twists and turns, I have learned a lot from it, but I also have taken body blows with some of the comments and assumptions. I guess you get all kinds when you post on a public thread. I appreciate the perspective of each and everyone who left feedback, some painted a picture I had not thought of, some were just mean, some were trying to help etc… it was a journey I had never experienced before, this was my first and last public post. So, for those of you who have waited patiently…
My D will be attending Villanova University in the fall. I am so proud of her and her accomplishments. I am sure with all that I am that she has made the right choice. I know she will flourish at VU and I certainly will enjoy watching her do so. Best of luck to the group, keep doing what you do… but if I could give you some feedback… Please read and remember the original question when leaving comments. Go Nova!!!
