I'm really nervous about my decision for college. I just would like some opinions.

Here's my information:

I attend a top public high school in Florida.
GPA: 3.92/4.96: top 2.5% in class of 400
10 AP classes
4 years varsity golf, 3 year MVP, 2 year captain
150 volunteer hours
President of Photography Club, member of Model UN, Academic World Quest, Scholar Bowl, Physics Club, National Honor Society, Student Government Association, and Spanish Honor Society
I have played in 50+ statewide golf tournaments (not sure if they care or not)
Part-time employee at local country club
SAT: 2180
ACT: 31

My mom went to Wake Forest on a full athletic scholarship, so I believe that makes me a legacy.
I have visited the campus, and I really liked it. Business is my intended major.
I was just wondering if you guys think Wake Forest is a perfect match for me, or should I try elsewhere given my information?

Hey! Sorry to piggy back on your thread but I have a similar interest. Wake Forest is definitely a school that interests me. I have very similar test scores and GPA, and am also a golfer (I’m a girl though.) I’m in MUN and NHS too! I would like to go into journalism.
I’m wondering if a current student could maybe answer this. I’d like to know if my stats could make me a fit for WFU, and also about the rigor of the academic atmosphere as well as the quality of student life. Thoughts?

I thought I should include more information about my personal life to see if this is a college for me.

I don’t really enjoy parties, so I’m not worried about the school’s party scenes. I prefer the whether of Florida, but I don’t mind the cold. I love dining and enjoying food. Politically, I lean pretty far to the right. Finally, I like the community feeling, nothing too big, but nothing too small that would be like high school all over again.

I am a freshman at Wake now and also from Florida. I’ll try to answer your questions as best as I can. I guess I’ll start with the weather. When I first arrived on campus, the weather was a lot like Florida’s. Very hot and humid! It does get cold here, but definitely not as cold as northern schools. It’s usually in the 30s or 40s in the morning, and then it warms up to the 50s or 60s in the afternoons. As for the social scene, there is something for everyone. Last and most important to me is the size. To me, Wake has a perfect balance of size. It is large enough that I meet new people all the time, yet small enough that I always see people that I know when walking to class. Classes are small. I think my largest class is about 30 students. This was very important to me because every one of my professors knows my name.
Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me.
