Is Wisconsin well respected by graduate schools?

Hi all. This is my first post, but I've been reading quite a few threads for a while. The information here has been invaluable to me, so thank you.

So back to my question. Right now I am choosing an engineering school for computer engineering. I have limited my choices to UW-Madison, UIUC, UMich, and Berkeley. I understand that Madison has clearly the lowest rank of the four, but I also really like its campus, students, and price. (By the way, I'm from New Jersey.) However, one of the main traits I am looking for is employer/graduate school respect. I know UIUC and Berkeley have a great name in those regards, but what about Wisconsin? I would love to go to a West or East coast grad school, like Stanford, MIT, or Berkeley.

So essentially, does going to Wisconsin mean a significant decrease in the ease of getting into a top graduate program?

Thanks.

If you like UW the best, go for it. It's a very, very good school, and I'd doubt that it would in any limit your options after graduation. Any educational (or otherwise) experience is what you make of it. Go to UW and work hard and you're options will be the same as if you went to the other three and worked hard.

UW is a top 10 public (or maybe even top 5?). That is fine.
