I've been practicing yoga for three years now (~4 hours a week), and I've taken a few classes as well.
I was wondering if I could put this down as an extracurricular activity on the common app and UC app, or if it would detract from my other, more "serious" ECs?
Thanks!

I think it is a great activity to put on your app. Yoga is something you can do for the rest of your life, and most campuses will have yoga classes.

I say put in on your application! It’s different and it’s a part of your life.
