I mean those ECs (excluding interns and jobs and your self-made business) seem not useful for Ibankers, so should we spend time on those ECs in college?

Yes, you should. Take initiative and responsibility in a club, be a leader, plan activities, etc. EC's will help. But remember that clubs are quality, not quantity.

but wouldnt it be better if you spend more time to boost up you GPA and to look for interns or jobs? cuz those experiences are more directly relative to business

thats true but they want a well rounded person ...not a bookworm

I wonder how come a person got interns in Ibanks is a bookworm

if you have a 3.9 GPA you can almost always get the interview but usually there you'll crumble. That's why it helps being well rounded. Some people can interview well though and if thats the case that's fine
