What makes it fun and exciting for you? If it's not, what's wrong?

I'm a commuter student, so it's not very fun for me.

The more I delve into college life, the better it gets. I'm a commuter student too, so it is rather difficult at times. =[ If only cars could run on good times....someone get to work on that!

not fun at all.
But I go to college for education, not fun.

"Is your college experience as fun as you thought it would be?"

Yes.

"What makes it fun and exciting for you?"

Independence. Freedom to do what I please, when I please, where I please, how I please.

It's actually alot better than I was expecting when I started college, lol. 2007 hasn't been that great for a multitude of reasons, including relationship issues and depression, but 2006 was probably the best year EVER for me. (end of freshman year, beginning of sophomore year, and the summer in between ROCKED HARD)
2007 isn't THAT bad though, at least not anymore. I have my own apartment, I just finished summer classes (I'm a junior now!), and I'm going to the beach next week. All in all, pretty good time.

The best part of college is meeting other people who share common interests with you. The coursework may be challenging, but the pleasure of hanging with friends whenever you please and doing whatever you want cannot be overstated.

Yes, definitely.

Why? Freedom, opportunities everywhere, meeting new people all the time, learning constantly, getting to improve my leadership skills. I'm like a kid in a damn candy store every time I register for classes (so. many. options!), I love my ECs and my job even when they're driving me crazy with work, and I never know when I'm going to have a really amazing conversation with a good friend or a total stranger that will make me think differently about something. I'm hardly an uber-optimist "everything is always wonderful" type person, but I love college. I think the trick is being aware of the opportunities surrounding you without idealizing the experience or getting caught up in some idea of what college is "supposed" to be... it won't always be wonderful, it's 4 (or more...) years of your life!

Much more fun. Much harder too, but play hard work hard, I suppose.

Why? Live everyone else said, freedom. At home my meals are more or less planned by my parents, as well as a good bit of my time (mowing, going to visit family, family dinner, etc.) At school 100% of my time is mine to do what I want.

Well, I didn't chose a party school, so I don't know what I really expected in terms of fun. I knew coming to Boston that I'd be in a city that I loved and that there would always be something to do. I haven't been let down yet, though I don't know that it exceeded my expectations. I also didn't really expect the all-women thing to be much fun at all, but it's been wonderful.

I was surprised by how many close friends I made. I had a really close group of friends back home and didn't really expect to find the same thing at college, but I did.

The added freedom is great, but I could pass on some of the added the responsibility (especially in terms of taking out loans, worrying about whether or not your intended career will allow you to pay them back, etc.). It's a mixed bag :)

YES, it's amazing; I have friends from all over the country which makes life so much more interesting

definately fun, joined the policy debate team and got to travel the country every three weeks or so for tournaments. Plus freedom and independance can't really hurt too much.

It has been an incredible year and a summer. Im loving it.

I go to McGill for fun.

It's very, very fun.

But fun does NOT equal happy. I'm lonely and sad much of the time, depsite going out every weekend and blowing tons of cash and getting drunk with friends around beautiful women.

But hey, I'd rather cry in Montreal than in Detroit.

You strike me as being a very lonely and sad individual wutangfinancial...

not even close, but classes are ok

if i had my motorcycle and it wasn't cold all the time then things might be different :D

It has been more than I had expected and I'm sad that I only have one year left.

more fun than i expected....really fulfilling, i don't think i've had a happier time in my life, things just seem to work out and even mistakes and danger has an unexpected twist to it.

A lot more fun that I thought it would be. I went to a school that would never be considered a party school, but I found a huge group of good friends where I can find someone to get drunk with whenever I feel like it, and I can do my work whenever I want to, and in general it is exactly the right situation for me.

I don't even leave anymore, I'm staying for the summer for the rest of my time here.

Ah yes definitely. I love college to bits, it's the best part of my life so far. Get very involved, it's a lot of fun.
