ISEE chances

just found my ISEE scores... pretty bad for me
Verbal 61%
Reading 92%
quantitative 88%
mathematics 78%
chance for hopkins in ct, choate?

My personal favorite is cherry

how about chances for Andover, Exeter, Hotckiss, Deerfield, Choate, Hopkins now? I know my scores are really bad for some of these. Do you think that because my scores are so low that they would just throw out my application without looking at the rest?

Swim honestly i don’t think they will not look at it. last year I applied to one of the top schools in MA and i flunked my ssat (67%) and they were very patient and I retook (94%) but the score came after the 15th(22nd) and I got waitlisted

do you think i should retest with the SSAT and send that too?

Depends if you are sure you can get over like 88% or 90% because I had gotten over 90% b4 i flunked it so I retook

i think im going to retake it. do they look at the better of the two scores or both scores?

not sure because I wait for my scores to come in then send them if they are good

i might have to send the new scores after their deadline but ive heard on some of these forums that they would still accept it

Yeah same thing happened to me last year. Got 67% then retook in JAN gave groton my score after the 15th. They didn’t mind.

Truthfully, your scores aren’t horrid. The only score I would consider “bad” would be your Verbal, and even then a 61% isn’t terrible. If you think you have enough time to retake the test I would go for it. I took the test twice. Initially, when I took the SSAT, I received a 38% overall. Then I took the ISEE and here are my scores:

Verbal- 97%
Reading- 94%
Quantitative Reasoning- 90%
Mathematical Achievement: 87%

If you think you have enough time, I would take the SSAT (Since you can only take the ISEE once a year). If not, send the scores that you have. In comparison to the scores I had previously, your scores are fantastic!

alright thanks I have already sent those scores so I think im going to retake and the schools would just have 2 tests … wont hurt to try and see
